- Fund your account (if you’re buying). Buying CRTs requires a USD cash balance in your account. If you already own CRTs from a primary offering, you can sell them without adding funds.
- Pick a Creator. Browse the Trade page, where each asset shows its symbol, last price, and previous close, or get there from your current positions on the Dashboard. Click an asset to select it for trading.
- Choose Buy or Sell. The order ticket sits on the right side of the asset page, with a green Buy button and a red Sell button.
- Your order is a limit order. You set the exact price you’re willing to trade at, and it only executes at that price or better.
- Set your price. At or near the last price tends to fill fastest, while a lower bid may get a better deal.
- Enter your quantity. There’s no minimum, so starting with one or two units is fine. Watch the estimated total before continuing.
- Choose your time in force: GTC or Day
GTC (Good ’Til Canceled): this kind of order stays open until it is filled, or until you cancel it. It does not go away at the end of the day as other orders do.
Day: this kind of order only lasts for one day. If it does not fill by the end of that trading day, it expires and goes away, and you would need to place it again.
- Review and submit. Check every detail, because a live order can be cancelled but not edited.
After you submit, your order waits under Open Orders until another investor agrees to your price. Once it fills, the CRTs are yours.
